Replacing the original engine oil for CAT excavators
On June 27, 2024, our workers performed maintenance on the CAT excavator, replacing the original filter element and engine oil.
To ensure a long service life for excavators, maintenance is essential. The regular inspections include fluid levels (oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant), and leaks or signs of wear. Weekly inspections such as looking for cracks, weld integrity, and general wear on the undercarriage and tracks.
Some maintenance recommendations are as follows: Change engine oil, hydraulic oil and filters according to the manufacturer's schedule (usually every 250-500 hours). Check the air filter regularly and clean or replace as needed to ensure optimal engine performance. Keep the radiator clean and ensure the coolant is at the proper level to prevent overheating. Lubricate all necessary points daily or as recommended to prevent wear. Check the battery connection and charge level regularly. When not in use, store the excavator indoors or in a covered area to protect it from the weather.
