Payload capacity:
Typical 40' HC maximum payload ~26,500 kg
Vehicle weights:
5-ton forklift: “5-ton” often refers to lift capacity; actual machine weight (operating weight) typically ~6,000kg
Caterpillar 308D excavator: operating weight typically ~7,800–9,000 kg (roughly 7.8–9.0 t)
As shown in the figure, we have perfectly packed both machines into a 40HQ container.
Normally, we can fit four excavators, each weighing up to 7 tons, into a 40HQ container. But it's necessary to disassemble the excavator's boom, arm and bucket.
